What does live music look like for a virtual event?
Whether using Zoom or another video conferencing platform to host your client’s virtual gathering, the musician will simply access the meeting using the sign-in information provided to them by the host and use audio streaming hardware and software tools to deliver a high-quality 60 to 90-minute* performance for their virtual audience. Through this format, our musicians have the ability to take requests and engage with guests, which allows the guests to enjoy the excitement and human element of live music and events while social distancing from the safety of their own homes.

How Do I Secure a Musician for a Virtual Event?
The process for organizing a Virtual Concert is very similar to booking for live events. First, you must secure a venue – in this case, a video conferencing platform, such as Zoom – where the event will take place. Next, you may select a musician from our Virtual Entertainment Menu to perform at the event. Then, click “Book This Artist” on the artist’s page or fill out our Booking Inquiry Form for the final steps. Alternatively, you may reach out to a Key Signature representative using the contact form at the bottom of this page for assistance in finding the best fit for your event and budget. Virtual events are new territory for a lot of folks, so we’re here to help provide guidance and answers to any questions you may have.

Brandon Crumpton, owner of Key Signature Entertainment, started booking live music for events over 15 years ago. He has led the company through a growth period booking and producing entertainment to an average of over 700 events a year. Key Signature Entertainment has 3 full-time employees and has developed an event staff to assist with larger, award-winning events throughout the season. Key Signature Entertainment was recently chosen as the 2018 Service Provider of the Year by the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority. This honor was voted on by key decision-makers in Charlotte’s hospitality and events industry.
Early in his career, Brandon realized that event professionals and musicians speak a different language. He noticed that both were trying to achieve the same results, but just went about the process differently. He built Key Signature Entertainment with the goal of bridging that communication gap so that both musicians and event professionals could produce successful events effectively and efficiently.
